My husband's wonderful aunt Karen began treatment for cancer earlier this week. She's been keeping friends and family informed of her journey via Facebook, and what she posted on Monday brought tears to my eyes. From boulevards to freeway overpasses, this is what Karen and her husband saw as they began the one-hour drive to her first chemo appointment:
Yes, evil exists in the world, as the Aurora shootings so recently reminded us.
But so much goodness exists, too. When I asked Karen if I could share these photos, she replied, "Heidi, I would love for you to share that. It was so touching and such a surprise. I would love for others who are going through this to have that happen to them! I will never forget it!"
